A recent publication in the prestigious journal Fertility & Sterility of a multicenter study (https://www.fertstert.org), in which the scientific team of Embryolab Fertility Clinic actively participated, focused on the contractions of a uterus with adenomyosis, i.e. the presence of enlarged glands growing deep in the uterine muscular wall.

The study showed that adenomyosis is associated with different types of uterine contractions compared to a normal uterus.

These findings are particularly useful in our efforts to interpret the symptoms caused by adenomyosis, in particular pain and infertility, and to design drug therapies that will target the behavior of the uterus in relation to the type of contractions it presents.
